Yahoo Deliverability and Performance Feeds

Understand Yahoo’s advanced Placement and Campaign Performance feeds, their scope and how they differ from normal Sender Hub reporting.

Understand the two feeds

Yahoo documents two advanced email-marketing feeds: the Placement Feed and the Campaign Performance Feed. They use data derived from Yahoo mail servers and report aggregated counts rather than user-level behavior.

This is separate from the standard Sender Hub Insights dashboard. Treat it as an advanced data program with its own access requirements.

Placement Feed

The Placement Feed includes sender and DKIM dimensions together with counts for inbox delivery, spam delivery, folder delivery, errors and complaints. Yahoo documents hourly reporting and a 30-day retention window for the feed.

Because the feed can be filtered by allowlisted sender domains or sender IPs, define which identities belong to the program before comparing it with broader ESP totals.

Campaign Performance Feed

The Campaign Performance Feed includes campaign-level delivery and engagement metrics such as delivered, opened, link clicked, deleted, marked read, forwarded, starred, archived, replied, marked spam, and dwell-time categories.

Yahoo also exposes campaign and client dimensions so the feed can distinguish declared templates and Yahoo or AOL client contexts. These are aggregate metrics, not a list of individual user actions.

Access and interpretation

Yahoo directs interested senders to contact its mail team to learn about access requirements. Do not design a core operational workflow around these feeds until access is confirmed for your organization.

If you receive them, document the feed timezone, retention, reporting delay and domain allowlist alongside the data so a later comparison with ESP metrics uses the same scope.
