Klaviyo dedicated IP warming

Follow the account’s managed warming process without inventing a universal volume schedule.

Confirm what is changing

A dedicated IP, a branded sending domain and a move from another ESP are different changes. Confirm the account’s actual infrastructure and eligibility with Klaviyo. Do not assume every account has a dedicated IP or needs an IP-warming migration.

Use Klaviyo’s account-specific process

Klaviyo documents an automated dedicated-IP warming process that distributes traffic during the transition. Coordinate with the account team when directed by the product workflow. A generic table of daily send volumes cannot replace the account’s approved plan.

Prepare a controlled audience

  1. Review consent, suppression and recent meaningful engagement before the change. Remove invalid recipients and honor all prior unsubscribes.
  2. Identify the campaigns and flows included in the transition, together with their normal sending cadence.
  3. Confirm branded-domain authentication and the actual dedicated-IP status in the account.
  4. Follow the active warming instructions and coordinate any changes to volume or campaign timing with the responsible team.

Review evidence while warming

SendPoint recommendation: compare delivery failures, complaints and relevant recipient actions by provider and message stream. Keep privacy-protected opens separate from human engagement assumptions. Record unexplained changes and resolve them before expanding the audience.
