Outlook.com, SNDS and JMRP
Investigate Microsoft consumer delivery using the current sender portal.
Meet the sender requirements
Microsoft’s published high-volume policy applies to domains sending more than 5,000 messages daily to its consumer service. SPF and DKIM must pass, and DMARC must be published at least at p=none with alignment through SPF or DKIM. The documented authentication rejection includes 550 5.7.515. Read the entire response before assigning a cause.
Use the current SNDS portal
Smart Network Data Services provides signals associated with IP space you are authorized to manage. Its current portal is Microsoft IP and domain management. Sign in with a Microsoft Account and complete the authorization process for the sending IPs. Shared-IP senders may need their ESP to investigate.
Connect complaints to operations
Junk Email Reporting Program reports support complaint handling. Treat reports as sensitive recipient data and connect them to the relevant suppression workflow. Portal access, reporting coverage and complaint signals do not establish universal inbox placement.
Investigate a delivery change
- Separate authentication failures from reputation or rate-related replies using the complete SMTP response.
- Compare the affected IP, stream and time window with available SNDS information and complaint reports.
- Review list acquisition, unsubscribe handling, compromised credentials and recent traffic changes.
- Correct the confirmed issue and provide Microsoft sender support with the full response and remediation if the problem persists.
For a corporate recipient’s quarantine or tenant rule, continue with Microsoft 365 and Defender.
