How to use Yahoo Sender Hub Insights
Read Yahoo’s aggregated delivery signals for verified DKIM domains without confusing them with a complete inbox-placement report.
Verify the DKIM domain you actually use
Sender Hub Insights displays data for verified DKIM domains added to the account. If the same DKIM domain signs mail across several sending domains, Yahoo says the data for those sending domains is rolled up under that DKIM domain.
Before interpreting a graph, inspect a fresh message and confirm the d= domain in the DKIM signature. That tells you which Sender Hub domain should contain the signal.
Read the available signals carefully
Yahoo’s FAQ describes current Insights signals including Delivered and Spam Complaint Rate. The dashboard shows an average complaint rate and delivered-message total for the selected timeframe, together with a comparison to the preceding period.
Yahoo calculates the complaint rate using messages delivered to the inbox. If your ESP includes spam-folder delivery or uses a different denominator, its number can differ without either system being broken.
Know when missing data is expected
Yahoo says a domain must be verified, activated and meet a minimum daily volume threshold before data appears. After activation, the FAQ says reporting can take 24 to 48 hours to populate.
Insights data is displayed in UTC. If you are comparing it with ESP logs, align the reporting window before treating a difference as a delivery anomaly.
Keep Insights separate from the CFL
You do not need Complaint Feedback Loop enrollment to see Insights data. The two services are separate. Use Insights for aggregated signals and CFL reports when you need complaint events that can drive recipient suppression.
Yahoo’s FAQ currently states that the standard Insights data does not have API access. Build internal review processes around what the dashboard actually exposes rather than assuming an export exists.
