About this reference

How SendPoint distinguishes standards, provider policies and operational guidance.

SendPoint Education is a static reference for people who operate email programs. It brings protocol explanations, provider guidance and operational procedures together in one place.

How to read a guide

  • Requirements identify obligations in the linked standard or provider policy.
  • SendPoint recommendations describe an operational approach, not a promise of delivery or a vendor requirement.
  • Sources link to the original specification or provider documentation. Use the provider’s current instructions when a requirement changes.

Commands and configuration

Commands run only when you copy them into your own terminal. Read their prerequisites and enter actual values from your environment. Configuration snippets are scoped settings, not complete production deployments.

Editorial scope

Guides use published protocol behavior and documented provider requirements. Recommendations state their scope and limitations. DNS publication, transport success and inbox placement are distinct stages of delivery.

Updates

The dates on guides identify their content revision. New guides in this edition were checked against the linked primary sources on 26 September 2026. Migrated guides retain their existing revision date. Provider documentation remains the authority for current product requirements.
